January 30: A House on a Rock

Hello families,

As we wrap up our series about Jesus the storyteller, we get to hear about the house built on the rock. Jesus uses this illustration to teach us that wisdom is always the best foundation for life. Bad weather can come and go and nothing will wash away what you have built a foundation of wisdom.

When we live the way Jesus taught us to live, we are building our lives on a foundation of wisdom, and it will stand strong!

We have in-person worship (register in advance) and our online broadcast today. You can watch this week's episodes of Kids Worship on-demand (or watch via YouTube).

Thanks for being part of TGC Kids… I am so grateful to support and care for your family each and every week! Let me know how I can be praying for you in this season.

Love,
Miss Elisa

  • All month, our preschoolers are learning with Miss Elisa that Jesus teaches us important things.

  • Today we get to hear the story of the house on the rock (Matthew 7:24-27)... and focus on how Jesus teaches us how to live.

  • Practice our preschool memory verse: The crowds were amazed at his teaching (Matthew 7:28).

This week’s Elementary Episode

  • This month, our elementary kiddos are exploring with Miss Elisa that self-control is choosing to do what you should even when you don’t want to.

  • Today's story is all about too much of a good thing (Proverbs 25:16) and that we should know when to stop.

  • Practice our elementary memory verse: God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life (2 Peter 1:3).

highlights about self-control

  • Miss Elisa demonstrates what happens when she has too much of a good thing… after three cups of coffee!

This week’s So and So episode

  • Every week, you can watch The So and So Show on-demand. It's a great way to revisit the elementary story and life application from Kids Worship during the middle of your week as a family.

  • In this week's episode: John, Brandon, Stephen, and Kellen explore the key question: How do you know when to stop?
