June 19: Let's Choose Peace

Dear families,

As we help kids discover ways to make peace with or between their friends, we also want to be sure they are safe and have the help they need in various situations. We pray that through today’s episodes and the discussions that follow, our kiddos will see multiple ways they can play a part in helping others find a way to get along.

With love,
Miss Elisa

fabulous fruit smoothie

Recipe credit: Jamie Oliver

Ingredients:

  • Milk (or milk alternative)

  • Ice

  • Fruit (frozen or fresh)

  • Spinach (frozen or fresh)

  • Yogurt

  • Vanilla extract

  • Coconut milk

Method:

  1. Peel the banana and cut into nice big slices on a chopping board – ideally you want to use frozen bananas, so try to remember to do this the day before.

  2. Add fruit and spinach in a blender and pour in milk, yogurt, vanilla, and coconut.

  3. Secure the lid and blitz until smooth, then serve right away.

  4. Note: you can make all these smoothies with fresh fruit, but it’s a great idea to bag up fruit combos and freeze them ahead of when you need them, which also means you don’t need to add ice.
