May 1: Bounce Back

Dear families,

In our preschool class this month, we are exploring God’s Creation from the Book of Genesis. Each week, we will focus on a different part of this amazing story:

  • Week 1: light, dark, sky, and water

  • Week 2: land, sea, plants, sun, moon, and stars

  • Week 3: birds and fish

  • Week 4: animals and people

  • Week 5: God’s Sabbath rest

Kiddos ask lots of questions as they get to know the world around them. It’s like they’re beginning a lifelong scavenger hunt! This is the perfect opportunity to answer their questions… who made everything? God made everything. And He said it was very good!

In our elementary classes, we’re learning how to be resilient through the examples of Jesus and heroes of faith from the New Testament. Resilence is the process of getting back up when something gets you down. Each week, you can remind your child of the bottom line:

  • Week 1: God is always with you

  • Week 2: Keep going even when it gets tough

  • Week 3: You can choose joy when life gets hard

  • Week 4: Trusting God can help you get back up

  • Week 5: Keep going because of what Jesus did for you

It’s going to be an encouraging month of lessons for everyone! Remember: because of Jesus, we can trust God no matter what. We can bounce back from whatever knocks us down and complete the mission God has for us. And that is indeed good news!

With love,
Miss Elisa
