November 7: Learning to be Content

Kids Worship for November 7, 2021

Hello families,

This week, our Kids Digital Lab episodes begin a new series on thankfulness and contentment. Everything we have comes from God. He is faithful to provide what we need. And even more than what we own, God can also provide what we need to face whatever happens in our life.

God has proven time and again that we can trust Him no matter what. We can complain or become jealous of what others have... or we can choose to respond with contentment, knowing that God has a plan for our lives.

Love,
Miss Elisa

This week’s preschool episode

  • All month, our preschoolers are learning with Miss Elisa that we can thank God for everything.

  • Today we get to hear the story of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz (Ruth 1-2)... and focus on how we can thank God for our families.

  • Practice our preschool memory verse: I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart. (Psalm 111:1)

This week’s Elementary Episode

  • This month, our elementary kiddos are exploring with Miss Elisa that contentment is learning to be okay with what we have.

  • Today's story is all about Paul in prison (Philippians 4:11-13) and learning that God can help us to be content.

  • Practice our elementary memory verse: Then He said, "Watch out! Be on your guard against wanting to have more and more things. Life is not made up of how much a person has." (Luke 12:15)

This week’s So and So episode

  • Every week, you can watch The So and So Show on-demand. It's a great way to revisit the elementary story and life application from Kids Worship during the middle of your week as a family.

  • In this week's episode: John, Brandon, Stephen, and Kellen explore the key question: When is it hardest to be content?
