worship gathering health protocols

Updated May 18, 2022

introduction

Throughout the pandemic, we have taken our responsibility to love our neighbors by helping slow the spread of Covid-19 seriously. From March 2020 to August 2021, we had five in-person worship gatherings and they were all outdoors. Since resuming indoor in-person worship, we have continued to adapt our protocols, in accordance with the guidance of experts, to prioritize public health.

protocols

  • Currently, masks are recommended at our Sunday gatherings. Since the city is seeing a high level of Covid-19 community spread at this time, we are recommending masks on Sundays in step with NYC public health guidance.

  • Pleas stay home if you are ill or if you are quarantining due to infection or exposure to Covid-19. If you are feeling unwell or have recently been exposed to Covid-19, please join us online from home. We ask everyone to adhere to the most recent CDC guidelines and not to attend in-person events until completing recommended isolation or quarantine protocols.

  • In TGC Kids, we have added a class to reduce the number of children in the preschool classroom. The classes are now: 1-2 year olds | 3-4 year olds | Grades K—1 | Grades 2—5. We will continue running HEPA air purifiers and practicing good hand hygiene. If your child is experiencing symptoms associated with Covid-19, please do not bring them to in-person worship.

  • We have made all seating in the auditorium available. This allows room for spacing as desired between households.

  • Individually wrapped communion containers are be available. You can find them at each communion station alongside the bread and the cup.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing. High touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized before the service. Hand sanitizer is available to all attendees.
